What’s New

As of December 2024 NB has eight students enrolled and four full-time staff members who ensure safety, provide primary education, and teach essential daily living skills. This year, students enjoyed learning everything from basic reading and writing to vocational skills, cognitive development through games, and even a safari to Nairobi National Park, where they saw iconic wildlife like giraffes—animals they have lived near their entire lives but had not seen in the way safari tourists do.

With the help of a steady flow of global volunteers, we have been able to assist certain individuals in seeking therapy, obtaining official physical and psychological assessments, and accessing medical care. Our team has also organized field trips out of the city, and our volunteers consistently introduce innovative ways to learn, such as teaching urban gardening or providing supplies for vocational skills specific to the area. As always students get free transportation to and from school as well as 2 full meals per day. We are looking forward to the new year and some exciting new organizational projects to share!
